CRIMINAL POSSESSION WEAPON - POTSDAM - Village police charged Thomas L. Roberts, 79, of Potsdam with second-degree menacing with a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use and ticketed him for failure to obey a traffic control device at 12:45p.m. Thursday at the Potsdam Police Department. Police said Roberts was in his vehicle when he pointed his gun at another motorist during an incident of road rage.



FAILURE TO YIELD - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Ali S. Zaidi, 53, of Canton for failure to yield the right of way to pedestrian in crosswalk at 6:45 p.m. Thursday on Main Street.



OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Raymond M. Bielec, 21, of Constantia with an open container violation at 8:12p.m. Thursday on Depot Street after an officer observed him with an open container of an alcoholic beverage while outside on the sidewalk.

2049 Received complaint of a stray cat on Bay Street. Patrol responded and transported the pregnant orange cat to Potsdam Humane Society.
