MASSENA: Jacqueline A. Horan, 85 of Williams St. died Monday afternoon (September 30, 2013) surrounded by her loving family. Family and Friends are invited to call Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 from 4-7:00 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday Oct. 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Scott D. Fobare presiding.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Jackie as she was fondly known by her family and friends is survived by her daughters; Gloria and her husband Harlan Martin, Susan and husband Arthur Premo, Joan and husband Michael DeRosie, Sally Aubertine and companion Joseph Cappione all of Massena, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.

Jackie is survived by several nieces and nephews. Jackie was predeceased by a grandson Thomas Barnes in 1992, her sister Mary Ashley and a brother Ralph Prevost. Jackie was born in Massena, on August 7, 1928, the daughter of Ralph and Mable (Fregoe) Prevost. She graduated from Massena High School in 1946. Jackie married Lawrence Horan on August 16, 1947 at the Church of Sacred Heart with Rev. Michael Jarecki presiding. Lawrence died June 25, 1997. Jackie was employed at one time as a sales associate at the Boston Store in Hart Haven Shipping Plaza. She later was a teacher’s aide for 10 years in the Massena Central School system. She was a member of the Massena Senior Citizens and a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Church. To those wishing to honor Jackie’s memory may do so to St. Vince de Paul Society,
