Raymond O. Ouimet, 70 of Tucson, Az and formerly of Massena, NY, died Friday Sept. 6, 2013 at Peppi’s Hospice House in Tucson. He was surrounded by his wife, along with his brother and sister-in-law and a great hospice staff.

Service time will be at 10:00am Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at St. Mary’s Church, Massena, Rev. Jack Downs presiding with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Surviving Ray is his wife Arlene of nearly 49 years, a daughter Amanda Babcock of Hannable, NY and grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler, and Miranda, great grandchildren, Kygan and Abigail Love, along with brothers Eddie of Massena, and Maurice of Tucson, Az. and many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his brothers, Hubert and Howard and a sister, Marquise Alguire. Ray was born in Massena on Feb. 24, 1943, the son of Fred and Lea (Gauthier) Ouimet. He married Arlene Carriere on Dec. 26, 1964 at St. Mary’s Church. Ray was employed at Alcoa for 34 years.

He was a member of the 25 Year Club of Alcoa, the AM Vets post #4 and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. Ray and Arlene relocated to Tucson in 2009. In lieu of flowere, donations in Rays memory are suggested to Hospice of St. Lawrence County or to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
