OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Kyle M. Schwarz, 22, of Saddle Brook, N.J., with an open container violation at 11:10 p.m. Friday after an officer observed him in possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage while walking down Bay Street.

RED LIGHT - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Ashley L. Tranello, 22, of Churchville for a red light violation at 11:56 a.m. Friday following a traffic stop on Leroy Street. Police said an officer observed Tranello pass through a red light on Elm Street.

FAKE ID - POTSDAM - Village police charged Amanda R. Marotta, 18, of Copiague with being a person under 21 obtaining alcohol through fraudulent means after she attempted to use a fake ID to purchase alcohol at an unidentified business in the village.

2002 Patrols and Potsdam Fire responded to fire alarm activation at a business on Market Street.
