Motorists accused of drunken driving


The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Adrian J. Heerema, 23, Doylestown, Ohio, was charged by Potsdam village police Sept. 28 on Pierrepont Avenue, where police said he failed to keep right. His blood alcohol content was listed as 0.17 percent.

A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

n Kevin M. Green, 23, Brighton, Mass., was charged by Potsdam village police Sept. 28. Police said he drove his vehicle through a fence and into a pond at Collegiate Village on Main Street. His BAC was listed as 0.17 percent.

n Elizabeth Richard, 21, of 329 McLelland St., Apt. A, was charged by Watertown police at 5 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of State Street. Police allege her BAC was 0.13 percent. She also was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to keep right.

n Lynn J. Bushey, 29, of 90 County Route 3, Bangor, also was charged by state police with unlawful possession of marijuana early Saturday. Police said Ms. Bushey’s vehicle was parked on the side of the road on Route 420 in Stockholm.

When an officer checked the welfare of Ms. Bushey and two other passengers, the officer smelled alcohol and marijuana, police said. Ms. Bushey’s BAC was not available.
