BEAVER FALLS — Erik Lyndaker scored the winning touchdown, with 16 seconds remaining, on a 62-yard pass reception from Kyle Steiner to lift the Beaver River football team to a 35-32 interclass victory over visiting Lowville on Saturday.

Lyndaker finished with three touchdowns, including a 60-yard pass reception from Steiner in the second quarter, and an 8-yard run in the fourth. He finished with 20 carries for 177 yards and six receptions for 123 yards.

Steiner also scored on runs of 2 and 1 yards. He completed 10 passes for 195 yards and finished with 19 carries for 141 yards for Beaver River (3-2 overall).

For the Red Raiders, Brian O’Connor threw three touchdown passes, including throws of 1 and 41 yards to Dalton Rombough, and a 69-yard pass to Cameron Malik to give Lowville a four-point lead in the fourth quarter.

O’Connor recorded 13 pass completions for 249 yards, while Rombough registered six receptions for 80 yards. Cameron Malik finished with two touchdowns, including a 3-yard run in the first quarter, and made five receptions for 109 yards.

Kyle Malik supplied a three-yard TD run, and Robert Campany rushed 22 times for 159 yards for Lowville (2-3).

CAMDEN 41, SOUTH JEFFERSON 27

Ryan McCarthy and Jeremy Zeitschel ran for two touchdowns apiece to lead the Blue Devils (2-3) to a Section 3 Class B West victory over the Spartans in Camden.

Dylan Beckstead ran for 141 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries for South Jefferson (1-4, 1-3), which fell behind 21-0 in the first quarter.

Adam Hutchinson completed eight of 23 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns for the Spartans.

ST. LAWRENCE 38, GOUVERNEUR 12

Mike Plante rushed for 224 yards on 14 carries and scored four touchdowns to lead the Larries in an NAC game in Gouverneur.

Plante scored on runs of 34, 49 and 65 yards and also returned a kickoff 60 yards for the Larries (1-4). Adrian McShane rushed for 150 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown, to lead the Wildcats (1-4).

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

O’ROURKE LEADS ADIRONDACK

Ryan O’Rourke finished the 5K course in first place, and teammate Connor Hrynuk was second, to pace Adirondack to victory during the Beaver River Invitational.

Adirondack tallied 49 points, and Beaver River took second with 69 points. Chittenango (82) was third and Carthage (124) fourth out of 12 teams.

Jake Erdman and Luke Dunkelberg placed third and fourth, respectively, for Gouverneur (153), which took fifth place.

Nick Anderson finished fifth for Carthage, and Brett Neddo took 10th for Beaver River.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

BOND, MALONE VICTORIOUS

Bekkah Bond crossed the finish line ahead of 98 other runners to lead Malone to the team title at the Beaver River Invitational in Beaver Falls.

Malone scored 32 points, while Beaver River placed second with 69 points. Norwood-Norfolk (82) was third and South Jefferson (100) fourth out of 10 complete teams.

Kaycie Saucier took second, and Hannah Gray was fourth for Norwood-Norfolk.

Jackie Miller was seventh for South Jefferson. Beaver River was led by seventh-grader Taylor Moore (eighth), and eighth grader Emily Lighthall (10th).

BOYS SOCCER

WATERTOWN 5, LOWVILLE 0

Nick Long scored twice as the undefeated Cyclones cruised to a crossover victory over the visiting Red Raiders (5-7-1, 5-6-1).

Eric Gibbs and Mina Rezkallah each finished with a goal and an assist for Watertown High School (11-0-1).

INDIAN RIVER 13, SANDY CREEK 0

Erick Torres accounted for three goals and two assists in the Warriors’ crossover victory at Sandy Creek.

Kyle Smith finished with two goals and two assists, and Ben Godin recorded one goal and two assists. Junior Malinoski and Ty Godin supplied two goals apiece, and Hunter Mullican made five saves for Indian River (10-1).

Sandy Creek is 0-12.

LYME 4, THOUSAND ISLANDS 2

Mark Parker produced two goals to help power the Indians to a nonleague victory at Clayton.

Troy Wilson chipped in with one goal and one assist, and Tanner Wiley added three assists. Christian Sanford made five saves for Lyme (10-2).

Luke Smith generated both goals for Thousand Islands (5-6).

GIRLS SOCCER

CARTHAGE 4, BISHOP LUDDEN 1

Rebekah Zehr generated two goals to help lift the Comets to a nonleague victory at Carthage.

Mackenzie Kidder chipped in with one goal and one assist, and Bryanna Gagnon also scored. Becky Brandal made four saves for Carthage (7-4-1).

Nicole Granteed scored for Bishop Ludden (5-6-2).
