Edward D. Enslow


Funeral services for Edward D. Enslow, age 85 of County Route 28, Lisbon NY will be held Friday (Oct 11, 2013) at 10:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor Reggie Curtis officiating. There will be no calling hours. Mr. Enslow passed away Sunday (Oct 6, 2013) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

Surviving is his wife Irene; three daughters & their spouses June & Brian Steele of Springfield, MA, Murleen & Roger Cameron of Potsdam, NY, Lisa Enslow & Ken Delorenzo of Avon, CT; eight grandchildren Jason Steele, Brian Steele Jr., Kirsten Steele, Sommer Giordano, Mandy Giordano, Kelsey Wickham, Keilly Wickham, Se’amus Wickham; two great-grandchildren Kayleigh Steele & Jamison Giordano; 2-step-grandchildren Jason Cameron & his wife Val, Robert Cameron & his wife Ashley; five step-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law Bernard “Butch” & Marybeth Spriggs; sister-in-law Pat Laviolette; and several nieces, nephews & cousins. Two brothers Thomas Jr. & Robert Enslow and a sister Doris Eells-Marchat predeceased him.

Ed was born on June 8, 1928 in Pierrepoint NY, a son of the late Thomas & Edna (Shea) Enslow. He attended Pierrepont Country Schools and enlisted with the US Army Airforce from 1946 – 1949. He married Irene M. Stevens on October 6, 1954 at the Ogdensburg Methodist Church. During his career he was employed with Sharps Auto, Emmett Morley Construction, Wigwam Trailer Park & CW Green as a laborer until his retirement in 1990.

He enjoyed construction projects, repairing lawn mowers, building saw horses & picnic tables, traveling and spending time with his family. Memorial donations have been requested to the Lisbon Volunteer Fire & Rescue, County Route 10, Lisbon NY 13658. Condolences can also be shared online at
