A Carthage man was charged by state police early Sunday with driving while intoxicated after he was injured in a one-vehicle accident shortly before 3 a.m. that day on Line School Road in the town of Champion.
Police said Vincent T. Renzi, 21, of 517 West St., lost control of his vehicle, which hit a tree and overturned several times.
He was taken to Carthage Area Hospital, where tests were performed to determine his blood alcohol content. The results were not available.
Also charged with DWI and related offenses:
■ Marsha A. Coppola, 70, of 369 Thompson Blvd., was charged by city police about 10 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Gotham Street. Police said she was involved in two accidents in Watertown within a few minutes of each other Sunday night.
She is accused of striking a rear door of a vehicle on Cadwell Street, then going off the road and hitting a guy wire for a utility pole near Bellew Avenue and Coffeen Street a few minutes later.
Her BAC was listed as 0.12 percent.
A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.
