College soccer: SUNY Canton wins three by shutout

CANTON — Evan Drew stopped three shots to lead the SUNY Canton men’s soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Johnson State (0-12 overall) in a nonconference game Wednesday. Prince Adjei, Nick Escalante and Devin Gruneisen scored first-half goals for the Kangaroos (6-5). Abdulai Jagana added a goal in the second half for SUNY Canton, which outshot Johnson State 22-4.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

SUNY CANTON 3, JOHNSON STATE 0

Karyss Terrance and Katlyn Hart each scored one goal and assisted on a goal, leading the Kangaroos (5-7) in a nonconference game in Canton.

Franchesca Trombley also scored for SUNY Canton (6-7). Brittany Rotach made three saves for the shutout.

VOLLEYBALL

SUNY CANTON 3, PAUL SMITH’S 0

Kelsy Cornish produced 11 kills to help the Kangaroos to a 25-12, 25-16, 25-15 sweep of Paul Smith’s (7-12) in a nonconference match in Brighton.

Kiana Archer led SUNY Canton (19-3) with 16 assists and Mackenzie Mynter added 13.
