He due back in court today at 1 p.m. for a preliminary hearing with legal counsel from the St. Lawrence County Public Defender’s Office.

City court and police reports stated the weapons included several rifles, semi-automatic assault rifles, handguns, three .22 caliber weapons, a .243 rifle, a .300 caliber rifle, two shotguns and two semi-automatic handguns.

Both handguns were .380 caliber weapons with one defaced by having the identifying serial number filed off.

Police also recovered a U.S. government-issue protective armor vest valued at $2,655, ammunition and high-capacity clips.

Mr. Perry does not possess a pistol permit from New York or any other state nor has he ever served in the military.

Mr. Mousaw said that the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “is on board” in the investigation to help identify the origins of the weapons and armor.
