NORFOLK - The Norwood-Norfolk Central varsity boys soccer relayed a one-goal halftime lead into a 3-0 NAC East Division win at home over St. Lawrence Central.

Coby Munson netted the only goal the Flyers (6-6, 5-5) would need in the eighth minute off an assist from Jacob Mathie. Zeb Brown made it 2-0 just four minutes into the second half assisted by Ian St. Andrews. The duo switched roles for the final goal of the game with 3:09 left in regulation.

Garrett Waite fielded the eight shots he faced working the crease for the shutout. Hadyn St. Hilaire recorded three saves for the Larries (1-9-1, 1-8-1).

In the other East Divsion games played Friday, Madrid-Waddington played Brushton-Moira to a 1-1 overtime draw while Chateaugay downed Colton-Pierrepont 2-0.

B-M 1, M-W 1 (OT): In Brushton, M-W’s John Lenney snapped a scoreless tie when he struck for an unassisted goal with 8:12 left in regulation but Alex Burnett countered with the equalizer six minutes later and the teams went on to settle for the overtime tie.

Taylor Tallman made 12 saves for B-M (1-7-2) while TJ Gagnon handled nine shots for the undefeated division-leading Yellowjackets (10-1-2, 9-0-2).

Chateaugay 2, C-P 0: In Chateaugay, the Bulldogs (9-2-1, 8-1-1) opened the scoring with four minutes left in the first half when Zach Cowan connected from Tyler Jones. Chad Stalter sealed the win with an unassisted goal with less than two minutes left in regulation.

Josh Trombley had six saves for the shutout while Bruce Avery turned aside 12 shots for the Colts (3-8-2, 3-6-2).
