Funeral services for Ronald J. Gardner, age 72 of King Street in Ogdensburg will be held Friday (October 18, 2013) at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will follow the service at Ogdensburgh Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. Gardner passed away Monday morning (Oct 14, 2013) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

Surviving is his wife Bonnie; a son Donald Gardner of Ogdensburg; a daughter Rona St. Germain & her companion Dennis Farrell of Ogdensburg; a brother Francis Gardner & his wife Mary Jane of Massena, Wayne Gardner & his wife Sue of Florida, John Gardner & his wife Bonnie of Morristown, Clint Gardner of Hammond, Dave Gardner & his wife Debbie of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister Donna Wells & her husband Jim of Gouverneur; grandchildren Cody Gardner & his wife Shelly, Erin Gardner, Kieryn Farrell; a very special niece Tima Walrath and her husband Scott of Gouverneur along with manynieces, nephews & cousins.

A son Cory Gardner in 1993 and a great-grandson Cory Allen Gardener in 2013 predeceased him.

Ronald was born on Sept 11, 1941 in Erie, PA a son of the late Donald J. & Dorothy R. (Cook) Gardner. He attended Morristown Central School and married Bonnie L. Rowe on December 22, 1962 at the Ogdensburg Methodist Church.

During his career he was employed at area farms, Perretta Packing for 10 years, Diamond International for 10 years, SUNY Potsdam State for 20 years retiring in 2005 as their Physical Plant Engineer. He was a member of the Diamond Sportman’s Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
