POTSDAM Village police charged Akshay R. Thakur, 21, of Syracuse, on Wednesday with third-degree criminal tampering and disorderly conduct.
It is alleged that Mr. Thakur entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of 17 Bay St. and smeared human feces throughout the vehicles interior. Police said they believe alcohol may have played a part in the incident but are still investigating.
Responding to the complaint about 3 p.m. Monday, police said they found Mr. Thakurs ID in the vehicle. He was taken in for questioning and subsequently arrested on the two charges. He was issued tickets for Village Court.
