LYONS FALLS A 3½-month investigation has led to the arrest of a Rochester man, accused of breaking into a Lyons Falls store and stealing four handguns, according to the Lewis County Sheriffs Department.
Miguel A. Raspaldo, 24, allegedly broke into Cataldo Hardware Store the morning of July 4 by smashing the front window. He removed the firearms, valued at a total of $41,816, and fled the area, according to a sheriffs report.
None of the weapons has been recovered.
Mr. Raspaldo was located in Wayne County jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges. An arrest warrant, signed by town of West Turin Justice John Markham, was executed and Mr. Raspaldo was returned to Lewis County.
He was arraigned Thursday in town court, charged with third-degree burglary and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. He was remanded to Lewis County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
He awaits possible grand jury action and other charges.
