HANOVER, N.H. The St. Lawrence University mens hockey team finished off a weekend sweep in New England in style on Saturday night.
Patrick Doherty scored two goals and registered two assists to spark the Saints to an 8-5 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday night in an ECAC Hockey game at Thompson Arena.
Greg Carey also had a four-point night with a goal and three assists for the Saints, who completed a weekend road sweep after defeating Harvard, 3-1 on Friday.
Gunnar Hughes tallied two goals and an assist and Matt Carey scored a pair of goals for St. Lawrence (6-2-2), which remains unbeaten in league play at 2-0-2.
The Saints, who tied both Yale and Brown last weekend, are off to the programs best start in the ECAC since they went 4-0 to kick off the 2006-07 season.
Goalie Matt Weninger made 27 saves to record the win for St. Lawrence.
Charles Grant stopped 21 of 28 shots faced for Dartmouth (0-6, 0-4).
