Mrs. Sarah Marion Droppa (Sunrise 10/29/22 Sunset 11/6/13), 14545 Jansbury Street, Gainesville, Virginia 20155, went home to be with the Lord. Marion, was the wife of the late Rev. Ernest Droppa who served the Northern New York and New York United Methodist Conference. For over 30 years they served congregations in the Norfolk-Raymondville, Little Falls, Cairo, South Cairo and Round Top churches. In her latter years, she was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, NY.

Marion graduated from Whitesboro High School and furthered her education at Houghton College. Proud of her Welsh heritage, Marion enjoyed singing in the Gymanfa Ganu’s, and was a life member of the St. David’s Society of Utica, NY.

Marion was a member of Uarda Temple #24, Daughters of the Nile, and the Western Shrine. She enjoyed being apart of the Seniors of Westernville, NY.

Marion was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Cecelia J. Williams. She is survived by her son, Robert Ernest Droppa, Sr., six grandchildren, John Droppa, Marly Berry, David Droppa, Tyra Teberian, Robert Droppa II, Bethany Blumenschein, 17 great-grandchildren, her sister Jean Lauer, and nephews Fredrick Lauer, Robert Lauer and Theodore Lauer and their families. She has two remaining sister-in-laws, Mrs. Leona Droppa, in Ocala, Florida and Mrs. Vera Droppa in Skaneateles, NY. She has 21 nieces and nephews in the Droppa family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marion’s name can be donated to Providence Christian Academy, 6872 Watson Court, Warrenton, VA 20187
