There will be a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for cystic fibrosis research on Nov. 20 at Northwest Tech on Park Street in Ogdensburg from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Takeout dinners are available. The cost for adults is $7 and children over 5 years old is $5. Children younger than 5 eat for free. Pre-sale adult tickets are available for $6 by calling 528-0193. A used book sale and 50/50 drawing will also be held at the dinner.
Donations go directly towards research to improve the care available for people with cystic fibrosis. Last year, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation released a new drug, Cyston, funded entirely through the cystic fibrosis drug pipeline. The foundation is also funding research and clinic trials for Vertex 770 and 809, the first drugs aimed at actually curing cystic fibrosis.
