A memorial service for 83 year old Mrs. Eva Anne Ellis of Potsdam will be held Wednesday, November 27 at New Hope Community Church in Potsdam with Pastor Scott Daby officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. Mrs. Ellis died at Canton-Potsdam Hospital on November 25th.

Survivors include two sons and daughters in law Richard Charles Ellis Jr. and his wife Rosa of Albany, David William Ellis and his wife Cheryl of Hannawa Falls, a daughter Mary Jo Ellis and her fiancée Charles J. Platt of Potsdam, 4 grandchildren Mrs. Rachel (Ellis) Dailey and her husband Thomas of Albany, Mrs. (David) Crystal Ellis Preston of Albany, Robert Ellis of Hermosa Beach, CA, and Michael Ellis of New Hartford, NY. There are 2 great Grandchildren also surviving, along with a brother Bower Thompson of Hannawa Falls, and three sisters Mary Berg of Utah, Barbara Joan Reasoner of Potsdam and Florida, and Mrs. Leon (Sue) Fiacco of Albany.

Eva Anne Ellis was pre-deceased by her husband Richard and a son Donald Ray Ellis.

She was born May 29, 1930 in Gouverneur, New York the daughter of Donald O. and Lillian (Gleason) Thompson. She was married to Richard C. Ellis on June 17, 17, 1950, in Potsdam, NY. Mr. Ellis died December 1, 2009.
