Clarkson (10-3-1) came out a bit sluggish after a 14-day layoff but wound up earning a comfortable 6-2 win over Kingston, Ontario's Queens University in an exhibition game Sunday at Cheel Arena.
The Golden Knights became the first team to beat Queens (10-1-5). The Gaels had lost five games in shootouts and earlier this season defeated the Rochester Institute of Technology 2-1 in an exhibition game.
