OGDENSBURG - City police say a man arrested over the weekend was allegedly intending to sell 53 morphine pills and chunks of methamphetamine.
Wade Creighton, 32, of 222 Franklin St., Apt. 2, was charged by city police Sunday with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.
He was also charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of more than two ounces ofmarijuana.
The second-degree criminal possession was identified as crack cocaine.
Police also seized approximately $30,000 in cash and drug-packaging materials.
Mr. Creighton was arraigned Monday in city court, ordered held on $20,000 cash or $40,000 bail bond in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, and is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on Friday.
Detective Daniel Mousaw said Monday that police were asked to accompany a state parole officer to the apartment and stand bywhile the parole officer conducted a house check. Theled to the discovery of the drugs and cash, Mr. Mousaw said.
