OGDENSBURG - An Ogdensburg man was arrested Sunday at 10:20 p.m. on drug charges, including allegedly intending to sell 53 morphine pills and chunks of methamphetamine.
Wade Creighton, 32, of 222 Franklin St., Apt. 2, was charged by city police with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.
He was also charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of more than two ounces ofmarijuana.
The second-degree criminal possession was identified as crack cocaine.
Police also seized approximately $30,000.00 in cash and drug-packaging materials.
Mr. Creighton was arraigned Monday in city court, ordered held on $20,000 cash bail/$40,000 bond in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, and is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on Friday.
Detective Daniel Mousaw said Monday that on Sunday at 9 p.m., police were asked to accompany a state parole officer to the apartment and stand bywhile the parole officer conducted a house check. That led to the discovery of the drugs and cash.
