Brittany M. Ives, 19, of 714 Franklin St., was arrested early Monday after police said she tried to stop a woman who had an order of protection against her from calling police during a domestic disturbance.
According to city police, Ms. Ives grabbed the front of a robe that Gertrude Ives, same address, was wearing and tried to take a phone away from her as she attempted to call police. Police said Brittany Ives violated an order of protection protecting Gertrude Ives issued by Judge Eugene R. Renzi in City Court that expires next November.
She was arrested at 2:44 a.m. at her residence and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony; fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
She was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held on $100 cash bail pending arraignment in City Court.
