Funeral Services for Beverly May Gladle, age 83, of Lisbon, will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Lisbon Wesleyan Church at 10:00AM with Rev. Jeff Bakos officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2013 at Frary Funeral Home on 515 Caroline Street from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM. Mrs. Gladle passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly is survived by five daughters, Donna Chairat of Ogdensburg, Tammy King of Pattersonville, NY, Betsy McNamara of Lisbon and Penny Gladle of Maryland, Heidi Gladle of Ogdensburg; a special nephew, Richard Smithers of Heuvelton, NY; three special grandchildren, Samantha, Autumn and Michael; three sisters, Jean Skidds of Ogdensburg, Eunice Curry of Ogdensburg and Bethany Wyatt of Heuvelton, NY; four brothers, Donald Smithers, Quinton Smithers, George Smithers and Delmar Smithers all of Ogdensburg; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a granddaughter, Ashley Gladle; five brothers, Wendell Harper, Guy Harper, David Smithers, Vernon Smithers, Ellis Smithers and four sisters, June Hazelton, Arlene Adams, Betty Simpson and Louise LaFave.
Beverly was born on November 8, 1930 in the town of Oswegatchie the daughter of Enos and Thelma Middlemiss Smithers. She attended schools in Heuvelton. Beverly first went to work for Diamond National and later went on to work at Acco where she retired as a machine operator after 16 years of service in 1996.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and she spent her spare time doing crafts, playing bingo and traveling,
