FORGED INSTRUMENT - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Mikle N. Lavare, 26, of Nicholville with two felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and two felony counts of first-degree tampering with public records Tuesday afternoon. Lavare was reportedly operating a vehicle with forged registration and inspection stickers. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. Lavare was additionally ticketed for several vehicle and traffic law violations.



AGGRAVATED DWI - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Krysta L. Barilko, 21, of Akwesasne with aggravated driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown. Barilko was turned over to state police following a secondary inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers.



FORGED INSTRUMENT - WAVERLY - Malone-based state police charged Khye J. Charleston, 19, of Potsdam with a felony count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument Tuesday following an investigation into a complaint filed with troopers at 3:51 p.m. Dec. 3 from the town of Waverly. The arrest was made at 16 Debra Drive, Potsdam.



DWI - MALONE - Malone-based state police charged Devan M. Cooke, 19, of Fort Covington with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday on the Bare Hill Road.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - MALONE - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents on Tuesday. Among those:

■ Tammy J. Barse, 54, of Fort Covington and Kathy Lynne Wilcox, 44, of Potsdam at 2 a.m. on Route 11 at the Aldi’s parking lot in the town of Malone.

■ Joseph F. Carron, 70, of North Bangor at 7 a.m. on Route 95, near Harrison Street, in the town of Moira.
