Beni Berisha recorded a five-point night, including scoring three goals, as the Watertown Privateers rolled past the Danville Dashers, 6-2, on Saturday night in a Federal Hockey League game at Watertown Municipal Arena, extending their winning streak to five games.
Dane Erickson contributed a goal and two assists for the Privateers (12-13), who have also won seven of their last eight games.
Matt Anthony stopped 33 of 35 shots for Watertown, and Kris McCarthy and Dustin Skinner added a goal each.
Leading 2-1 entering the third period, Watertown struck for five goals over the first 14 minutes, including three scores in 7:29. Berisha capped the outburst with a pair of power-play goals in 2:33.
The period also included a total of nine game misconducts were handed out to Danvilles Jamie Zalewski, Dustin Henning, Ryan Huggett, Justin Barr and James Robbins as well as Watertowns Skinner, Jeff Dill, Colby Spooner and Liam Tully, all with 12:58 remaining.
The full-scale melee erupted when Dashers goaltender Nick Neidert through a body check on Dill along the boards. The end result was all 10 position players on the ice received major penalties for fighting and the game misconducts whileNeidert received a major for fighting and a roughing penalty which placed the Privateers on a power play.
Robert Vanwysberghe scored a pair of goals for the Dashers (7-20).
Watertown will host Danville at 7:35 p.m. next Friday.
