Motorists charged with DWI


The following are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Tyrone D. Barge, 37, of 623 Grant St., was charged by city police at 12:53 a.m. Sunday with aggravated DWI, speeding, failure to keep right, failure to comply with a police officer, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and violating regulations governing the use of an ignition interlock device.

His blood alcohol content was listed as 0.26 percent.

Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication.

Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

n Nicole L. Buffham, 31, of 142 Willard Road, Massena, was charged by state police early Saturday.

Police said she drove head-on into a mobile home owned by Gordon E. Fleming, 298 Willard Road, that was parked at his residence. Ms. Buffham’s BAC was 0.12 percent, police said.

n Mark F. Boucher, 61, of 5281 Clinton St., Lowville, was charged by Lowville village police after they detected a strong odor of alcohol during a traffic stop for driving an uninspected vehicle, they said. Mr. Boucher’s BAC was listed as 0.10 percent.

Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:

n Edward W. Tomago, 30, of 990 44A Mountain View Drive, Fort Drum, also was charged by state police with aggravated unlicensed operation at 7:05 p.m. Saturday on Route 177 in the town of Lowville.
