Former Syracuse University lineman Macky MacPherson is scheduled to appear as the annual guest speaker at the Lowville Elks Lodge Father-Son Banquet on March 4.

MacPherson just completed a standout career for the Orange, winning All-Atlantic Coast Conference Bowl Team honors after Syracuse’s victory over Minnesota in the Texas Bowl last month.

MacPherson, who is from Syracuse, also was on the Rimington Award watch list for the nation’s top center and won all-academic honors for a third straight year. He played in 49 games at center since beginning as a true freshman in 2010. He started every game since his sophomore year. He was team captain last season.

MacPherson is the grandson of former SU head coach Dick MacPherson.

Dinner is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Lowville Elks lodge and available to Elks and invited guests.
