To The Editor:
Now that Lights on the River Inc. has turned off the lights for its 2013 event, we would like to take a moment to reflect and give thanks to the many people, organizations and businesses that helped to make our mission a success for the fourth year in a row.
The weather was less than cooperative for us this year but we braved the bitter sub-zero temps, snow, rain and ice, and right there along with us were our trusty volunteers; Mike and Colet Richardson, Tom Manning, Bev Parmeter, Colin Smith, Coleman Smith, Carson Smith, Maeve Bowdish, Makayla Derouchia, Kristin Calkins, Beth Crowley, Laura Pierce.
Along with our volunteers were our display entries that also had to brave the high winds and cold to get their displays set up.Without them there would be no Lights on the River.A huge thank-you goes out to: Amos Country Barn, Blevins Brothers-Ogdensburg, Canton United Methodist Church, Claxton-Hepburn Auxiliary, Clear Pond Hunting Club, Community Bank, CP of the North Country, Cub Scout Pack 2 of Lisbon, Cultivating Healthy Communities, The Cutting Edge/Small Fry Academy, Daisy Troop 50205, DeFelsko Corporation, Fidelis Care, First Congregational Church of Lisbon, First Presbyterian Church of Ogdensburg, Gary and Aileens, Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways/Troop 502000, Grace Presbyterian Church, Hand to Hand, Harwood Chiropractic, Hepburn Library of Lisbon, Heuvelton Cub ScoutsPack 9, Heuvelton Central School, Heuvelton United Methodist Church, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-The Curiers, Jules of Life Foundation, Lisbon Girls Basketball, Lisbon Lions Club, Lisbon National Honor Society, Lisbon Reformed Presbyterian Church Sunday School, Lowes of Ogdensburg, LP Thompson Insurance Agency Ltd, Morley Wesleyan Church, Morristown Central School Class of 2014, North Country Savings Bank, North Pole Satellite Office, North Zone ConstructionInc., Northern New York Newspapers, Northern Physical Therapy, OddfellowsSeaway Lodge No. 41, Ogdensburg Command Performances, Ogdensburg Masonic Lodge 128, Pepsi-Cola Ogdensburg Bottlers, Pine Hill Pioneers 4-H Club, PJs for Xmas, Potsdam BOCES-David Smiths Class, Ray Burns and Sons Trucking, Reality Check, Reintree Stables, Richardson Construction, Salon 1020, Ogdensburg Salvation Army, SAVE SLPC, SeaComm Federal Credit Union, Seaway Diner and Smokehouse, St. Marguerite DYouville Academy, Source Capital GroupInc., Ss.
