CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Richard H. Peters, 34, of Norwood with first-degree contempt, second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child at 3:52 p.m. Saturday. Troopers said the charges stemmed from an investigation into a complaint filed at 8 p.m. Friday from the town of Potsdam. Peters was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000 cash.



BURGLARY - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Danny S. French, 23, of Fort Covington with third-degree burglary, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana at 12:02 p.m. Saturday following an investigation into a burglary complaint filed with troopers July 8 from the town of Moira. He was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail with bail set at $10,000 cash.



DWAI DRUGS - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Dorene G. Raimondo, 49, of Moira with driving while ability impaired by drugs and ticketed her for speeding following a traffic stop at 4:50 p.m. Friday on Route 11 in the town of Bangor.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region Saturday and early Sunday. Among those:

■ Kayley E. Learn, 23, of Morristown at 2:20 a.m. Sunday on state Route 37, near Lincoln Avenue, in the town of Waddington.

■ Michelle C. Murray, 31, of Potsdam at 8:21 p.m. on Route 11, near County Route 28, in the town of Malone.

■ Joan F. Mentley, 68, of Canton at 12:16 p.m. Saturday on state Route 68, near Corcoran Road, in the town of Pierrepont.
