DEKALB JUNCTION - Clifton-Fine picked up its first win of the season on Saturday against Hermon-DeKalb, 53-47, in Northern Athletic Conference West Division Boys Basketball action. The Eagles finished 16-for-30 at the foul line and the Demons made seven of 25 attempts in the win.
Clifton-Fine doubled us in foulshots made and that was key. Right now, weve got some injuries that have really hurt us but give Clifton-Fine credit, they played hard, said H-D coach Clay Denesha.
Jake Folsom tallied 15 points for Clifton-Fine (1-13, 1-11 NAC West) which won the first and fourth quarters 14-10 16-12. Chase Koster tallied 13 points and Carl Provost hit two threes in a 11 point effort for the winners who receved seven from Logan Hayes and four from Austin Locke.
Cody Merritt scored 17 points for the Demons (2-14, 1-11). Reilly ODonnell added 15 while Jaron Robinson and Harrison Chilton each scored five.
