BAD CHECK - THERESA - Philadelphia (NY)-based state police charged Shawn L. McGregor, 37, of Norfolk with issuing a bad check Monday following an investigation into a complaint filed with troopers on Oct. 23 from the town of Theresa.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents Monday. Among those:

■ Charlene L. Randall, 57, of Colton and Joshua D. Bartell, 40, of Potsdam at 8:12 a.m. on thr Parmeter Road at Root Road in the town fo Potsdam. Randall was operating a Potsdam Central school bus and was ticketed.

■ Tammy L. Gardner, 55, of Potsdam at 11:52 p.m. on state Route 11B, near Sand Road, in the town fo Lawrence.

■ Keith F. Fletcher, 55, of Brushton and George L. Niles, 76, of Bombay at 3:52 p.m. on state Route 95, near Scanlon Road, in the town of Bombay.

■ Ian D. Fletcher, 28, of Brushton at 6:31 p.m. on County Route 8, near County Route 22, in the town of Bangor.

■ John A. Coates, 52, of Moira at 9:03 p.m. on County Route 32, near Broad Street, in the town of Fort Covington.
