ISSUING A BAD CHECK - POTSDAM - Village police charged Bryan R. Mallette, 46, of Paul Smiths with issuing a bad checkat 8:40 a.m. Friday following an investigation into a complaint that he had passed a check on an account with insufficient funds at a local business.

UNSAFE LANE CHANGE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Jeremy J. Gibson, 19, ofPotsdam,for making an unsafe lane change at 11:13 a.m. Friday after responding to a property damage accident between Clarkson Avenue and Pine Street.

INADEQAUTE HEADLIGHTS - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed traffic stop on Maple Street. Matthew L. Bergman, 30, of Wilsonfor operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights following a traffic stop at 10:28 p.m. Friday on Maple Street. Police allege Bergman was operating a vehicle with an inoperable driver’s side headlight.
