Grand jury indicts two on aggravated DWI charges

CANTON — A St. Lawrence County grand jury indicted two men Tuesday each with multiple counts of felony aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law because they had children in the vehicles.

Jonathan E. Corbine, 23, of 62 Trout Lake Road, Edwards, was indicted for two counts of aggravated DWI. It is alleged that Corbine had a 0.17 percent blood alcohol content while driving Aug. 30 on County Route 38 in the town of Norfolk with a 22-month-old as a passenger.

Edward G. Gagnon, 24, of 73 Turner Road, Hammond, was indicted for two counts of aggravated DWI and driving while ability impaired by drugs. It is alleged that Gagnon while under the influence of marijuana while driving Aug. 23 on New York Avenue in Ogdensburg with a 22-month-old and an 8-month-old as passengers.
