Five motorists charged with DWI offenses

The following people are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Patrick H. Wing, 25, of 448 Belmont Courts, Ogdensburg, was charged by state police early Saturday. Police said he was stopped on Pray Road in Lisbon for a speeding violation.

Mr. Wing’s blood alcohol content was 0.15 percent, police said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes proof of intoxication.

n Phillip M. Colsch, 21, of 507 S. Mechanic St., Carthage, was charged by city police at 1:31 a.m. Sunday after he was stopped for driving the wrong way down Polk Street, police said. Officers found his BAC to be 0.12 percent. Mr. Colsch also was charged with having no taillights and failure to obey a traffic control device.

n Madison G. Laubscher, 22, of Potsdam, was charged by Potsdam village police early Saturday. Police said she was stopped on Market Street for driving through a red light. Her BAC was 0.15 percent, police said.

n Jonathan M. Pratt, 40, of 525 Washington St., Ogdensburg, was charged by state police with aggravated DWI early Sunday. Police said he was stopped on Route 37 in Waddington for driving on the shoulder and swerving. Police said his BAC was 0.18 percent, the threshold for aggravated DWI under state law.

n Thomas C. Hayes, 23, of 12 Bethune St., Alexandria Bay, was charged by state police with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs at 9:20 p.m. Friday in the vicinity of Arsenal and Breen streets.

He also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was issued appearance tickets for Watertown Town Court.
