State police on Monday arrested Tanner R. Payne, 24, of 206 Franklin St., on multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated and fourth-degree criminal mischief, after he allegedly left his vehicle in the middle of the road during a domestic incident.
Police said he was in an argument with his mother, Rhonda Jones, of 22444 County Route 3, LaFargeville, when he left her residence, got into her vehicle and began to drive away.
His blood alcohol content was 0.12 percent, police said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes proof of intoxication.
Additionally, he was accused of breaking a window at his mothers home, causing $200 worth of damage.
Police also charged Mr. Payne with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to use designated lane, leaving a motor vehicle unattended and a stop/stand/park violation on a highway.
He was arraigned in Alexandria Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
