GOUVERNEUR The village Planning and Zoning boards will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the municipal courtroom for a special use permit for Fidelis Care to operate an insurance office at 101 E. Main St., the location of a one-time photo studio.
The boards will also consider a special use permit for Roger G. and Donna J. Farr to open a retail store at 49 E. Main St., where John J. Scooter Wetmore closed an electrical store and a Radio Shack.
The Farrs previously ran Four Seasons Flea Market on Route 11 between Gouverneur and DeKalb Junction. They recently opened The Primitive Peddler, a retail shop for primitive and antique decor, on Route 11 in Somerville, but want to move that business to the village, Code Enforcement Officer Michael J. McQuade said.
Trailways bus service would continue at 49 E. Main St., he said.
