DANVILLE, Ill. — Nick Niedert made 50 saves and the Watertown Privateers opened the game with five straight goals as they downed the Danville Dashers, 7-3, to snap a four-game losing streak in a Federal Hockey League game Saturday night at the David S. Palmer Arena.

Branden Parkhouse, Dane Erickson and Colby Spooner each collected a goal and two assists for Watertown (19-31). Beni Berisha and Brent Sands each added a goal and an assist for the Privateers, which scored three in first period.

Billy Hunt netted a pair of goals in the second period, and Justin Brausen generated a goal and an assist for Danville (16-36).

The Privateers return home to host the Danbury Whalers 5:05 p.m. today at the Watertown Municipal Ice Arena. Today’s game is a special “Stand Up to Bullying” event that will raise money to support anti-bullying programs in the area.
