Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Christina M. Shoemaker, 26, of 8708 Noble St., Evans Mills, on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated after an early Tuesday property damage accident.

Deputies said Ms. Shoemaker was driving in a southerly direction at 12:19 a.m. on Route 11 in the town of Pamelia when the accident occurred. Details are not yet known, but deputies said no injuries were reported.

At the accident scene, Ms. Shoemaker reportedly told deputies she had four beers in Watertown and was driving home. According to the arrest report, she failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, where a breath test determined her blood alcohol content to be 0.19 percent. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes proof of intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.
