Massena duo jailed following Friday night drug bust

MASSENA - Two Massena residents were jailed following the execution of a search warrant at 55 Liberty Ave. Friday night.

Village police charged Andrew J. Katura, 30, of 55 Liberty Ave., Massena, with felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon - assault rifle, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon - high capacity ammo feeding device. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police also charged Katura with a second count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance stemming from a sale that took place in January.

Police also charged Amber M. Miller, 28, of 101 Woodlawn Ave., Massena, with felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon - assault rifle and the misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

Katura was arraigned by Norfolk Town Justice Donald G. Lustyik and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $40,000 cash or $75,000 bond.

Miller was also arraigned by Judge Lustyik and was sent to the county jail with her bail set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
