WATERTOWN Jacob S. Monnat, 27, of 5592 Highland Ave., Lowville, was arrested following a traffic stop Saturday morning on Route 11 in the town of Watertown.
Jefferson County sheriffs deputies stopped him about 2 a.m. after he reportedly was spotted failing to keep right and using an improper signal while driving home from a bar in the city, they said.
Deputies said he failed field sobriety tests and was visibly intoxicated. His blood alcohol content was 0.14 percent, deputies said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes proof of intoxication.
He was charged with DWI, as well as the two traffic infractions, and is to appear in Town Court.
