Funeral services for Sally T. Sanders, age 63 of Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday (April 5, 2014) at 2:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Sister Theresa LaBrake, GNSH officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton.

Calling hours will be held also on Saturday from 12:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Ms. Sanders passed away on Monday (Mar 31, 2014) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are two sons Glenn Sanders of Sherrills Ford, NC and Gerald Sanders of Ogdensburg; two daughters Colleen Robinson of Heuvelton and Kathy Gordon of Rensselaer Falls. Two brothers George & Janice Youngs of Palmetto, FL, Harold & Debbie Youngs of Ellenton, FL; sisters Beulah Walrath of Brownville, Mary Primeau of Palmetto, FL, Doris & George Caster of Dekalb Jct., Nancy & John Wilson of Rensselaer Falls, Dolly & Gene Wright of NC; grandchildren Victor Sanders, Bobby Gordon, William Gordon, Mullin Gordon, Ivan Sanders, Brandon Robinson, Jimmy Robinson, Allen Robinson, Adam Robinson, Mathew Robinson, a sister-in-law Gloria Youngs of Edwards along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

A brother Algie Youngs; sisters Beatrice Glasford and infant twins Elizabeth & Eloise Youngs predeceased her.

Sally was born on February 16, 1951 in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Algie Sr. & Myrtle (White) Youngs. She graduated from Indian River High School. She worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph’s and United Helpers Nursing Homes until becoming disabled and enjoyed playing cards, dice, puzzles on Face Book and spending time with her family and friends.
