To the Editor:

The Cancer Services Program and Diabetes Prevention Program pampered for their medical provider’s staff on March 31.

Guests nibbled tasty treats, sipped on fun mocktails, put their feet up, relaxed with manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, and won door prizes donated by our fine vendors.

The Cancer Services Program of St. Lawrence County, funded through NYS Department of Health, serves individuals who either have no insurance or are underinsured. Eligible participants are provided with free breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screenings. The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is funded through the NYS Office of Rural Health. This free lifestyle modification program is open to adults diagnosed as pre-diabetic and/ or those considered at high risk for pre-diabetes.

We would like to thank the following folks, who made the evening possible and a great success:

All the great students of Theresa Smith: BOCES Culinary Arts Program and Diane Brown of the BOCES Cosmetology Program, Debbie Costa of Debonair, and Teresa Cameron of Elajio Essential Day Spa.

Also, Tammy Serguson and Heather Thrasher of Inspired Healing, Thelma Pitcher and Ann Todd of Mary Kay Cosmetics, Toni Page of Tastefully Simple, Rachel and Renee Moses Origami Owl.

Also, Mary Ellen Devine of Gold Canyon Candles & Beyond, Terri Bosjolie of It Works! Body Works, Rose Martin of Party Lite, Donna Garcia of Thirty-one Gifts, and Cindy Goliber of Potsdam Town Hall.
