Democratic Congressional candidate Aaron G. Woolf is set to tour businesses in Johnstown and Gloversville in Fulton County to today as part of his campaign for the 21st Congressional District seat currently held by Rep. William L. Owens, D-Plattsburgh.

Mr. Woolf will be accompanied on his tour by Rep. Paul D. Tonko, D-Amsterdam. Rep. Tonko represents New York’s 20th Congressional District and is expected to endorse Mr. Woolf during the trip.

Rep. Owens is not seeking reelection and Mr. Woolf’s potential primary foe Stephen W. Burke, a Democrat from Macomb, had his ballot petitions invalidated last week by the commissioners of the state Board of Elections. Mr. Burke is due to appear at an 11:15 a.m. hearing to appeal the board’s decision.

If the state Supreme Court rejects Mr. Burke’s appeal, Mr. Woolf will not face a primary contest in the race.

Here is a schedule of the Fulton County stops as published by Mr. Woolf’s campaign:

n 2:30-3 p.m. — Shirley Luck Senior Center, 109 East Main St., Johnstown

n 3:10-3:30 p.m. — Palmer’s Pharmacy, 2 East Main St., Johnstown

n 3:45-4 p.m. — Gloversville Sewing Center, 385 South Main St., Gloversville

n 4-5 p.m. — Tour of North Main Street in Gloversville, including stops at Storto’s Gloves, 40 North Main St.; Dunday’s Men’s Wear, 49 N. Main Street; Peck’s Flowers, 105 North Main St.; and Castiglione Jewelers, 25 North Main St.

Republican candidates Elise M. Stefanik and Matthew A. Doheny are running against each other in a primary election to be held June 24. Both candidates were profiled over the weekend. Ms. Stefanik was profiled in the Glens Falls Post Star and Mr. Doheny in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.

Ms. Stefanik was in Watertown last week and made several campaign stops in Jefferson County.

The two candidates have agreed to at least two debates in the coming weeks.

Green Party candidate Matthew J. Funiciello is set to host a kickoff fund raiser for his campaign from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rock Hill Cafe in Glens Falls.
