MASSENA:James “Jim” R. Lennon, 63 of Orchard Rd., died Saturday morning (May 3, 2014) at his home surrounded by his loving family and Hospice. He had been in ill health since November.

At the family’s request there will be no services or calling hours.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Surviving Jim is his wife, Jean, his two sons, Jason J. and Jonathan P. both of Massena, his loving grandchildren Kiah, Michael and Catalina, a brother Michael and sister in law Patricia of Sussex, NJ. Jim also leaves behind his loving extended family, his mother in law Rose Carvel, Massena, William Carvel of Albany, Robert and Gloria Carvel of Pismo Beach, Ca, Frances and Sandra Carvel, Bernie and Susan both of Massena, Richard and Lori Sue Carvel of Cicero and Peg and Bill Jeffery of Parishville, also many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his mother Christina B.in 2013, his father Michael O. in 2002.

Jim was born in Syracuse on February 21, 1951 the son of Michael and Christina (Brandt) Lennon. He graduated from Massena High School and started his work career at Alcoa in 1971 where he retired in 2004 as a Pot Tender.

He was a 25 year member of the Alcoa Club.

Jim married Jean Carvel on October 27, 1973 at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Massena. Jim was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. Those wishing to honor Jim’s memory may do so to Hospice and Palliative Care of St.Lawrence Valley.
