Matt Edwards and Chad Quetorices shot the two best rounds of the day at 37 and 38, in the first and second position, and Northwood Prep survived a spirited comeback by OFA to claim a 227-228 nonleague golf win at the St. Lawrence State Park on Thursday.

“It was a great match. We used a different lineup today and let some different players get some match experience,” said OFA Coach Joe Lynch.

Ryan Petell and Jack Manke shared honors for OFA with 44s and Spencer Mayette turned in a round of 46. Mitchel Barber and Justin Ross each tallied 47sa and Colin Ross posted a nonscoring 51.

M-W HOLDS LEAD SHARE

MASSENA - Recording its third win in as many days Madrid-Waddington (9-1) retained a share of the NAC Division I Golf lead by trimming host Massena 219-220 and Bruston-Moira 219-262.

B-M’s Devin Delisle shot a medalist 37 followed by Massena’s Hunter Francis at 38 and M-W’s Jeff Mott at 39. Alex Hammond shot his third straight round of 40 for M-W, Kaden Pickering tallied 44, TJ Gagnona 47, Jacob Seguin at 49 and Austin Delosh at 53.

Kendrick Swamp at 43, Brenden Dobbins at 45, Shane Tarbell at 44 kept Massena in contestion.

In a girls match BM’s Micaela McCarthy shot a 52 and MW’s Mary Young finished at 56.

DIVISION II

Clifton-Fine 3 - E-K 2: Hunter Tuttle shot a medalist 48 for E-K but C-F secured its first win of the season from Matt Peabodu (51), Austin Malone (51) and Chad Kerr (53) secured the three points needed for a C-F win.

Derrick Cutway (51) accounted for the Cougars’ other point.

In girls action Catherine Curley took honors with a 59 for E-K followed by Alicia Allen of E-K at 60 and Dana Northrup at 60 for C-F.
