Republican congressional candidate Elise M. Stefanik received the endorsement of the New York state Automobile Dealers Association today in Greenwich.
“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the New York State Automobile Dealers Association,” Ms. Stefanik said in a news release. “The NYSADA helps small businesses across the 21st District that employ thousands of hardworking New Yorkers. They help dealerships and businesses navigate complicated regulatory processes to help their members grow,” Stefanik stated. “I look forward to working with the NYSADA — they understand the importance of supporting small businesses in our communities to increase economic opportunities in the North Country.”
Ms. Stefanik, a former White House policy advisor from Willsboro, will face Matthew A. Doheny, an investment fund manager from Watertown, in a June 24 primary election.
Ms. Stefanik has been endorsed by the New York state Conservative Party and Mr. Doheny has been endorsed by the New York state Independence Party.
Democratic candidate Aaron G. Woolf, a documentary filmmaker from Elizabethtown, and Green Party candidate Matthew J. Funiciello, a bakery and cafe operator from Glens Falls, are also running for the seat held by Rep. William L. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, who is not seeking re-election.
