Jones Tire produced a 12-1 win over Morristown on Monday evening in Kiwanis Grasshopper League play. Other recent winners include: Siemens in Grasshopper Baseball and Heuvelton AmVets and Defelsko’s in Kiwanis Softball.

GRASSHOPPER LEAGUE

Jones 12, Morristown 2: Bryson Murray, Gavin Murray and Jacob Martin fanned 10 batters with excellent catching support from Bryce Lake and Martin. Rick Nichols smacked two doubles while Dan Pray, Bryce Lake and Martin each doubled. Aidan Murray, Bryson Murray, Kyle Ceresoli and Gavin Murray each singled.

Jonah Witherhead, Dean Gordon and Tristan Simmons fanned 15 batters for Jones Tire. Kade Marshall and Tanner Ritchie caught well. Simmons had a double while Gordon (run scored) and Jarred Young each singled.

Siemens 10, IOOF 2: Zac Ashlaw and Jacob Ladouceur each doubled for Siemens while Matt Basford and Nate Mashaw each singled. Jed Crayford pitched and also singled and doubled. Tyler and Keegan England each produced two singles for IOOF. Ethan Graveline pitched well

KIWANIS SOFTBALL

Heuvelton AmVets over NPS: Molly Williams and Rayna Cameron fanned 12 batters for Heuvelton AmVets as Amber Cunningham went 3-4 and Adrianna Vinch, Cameron, Megan Woodard and Molly Williams each singled twice.

Rylie Showers, Carlie Piercey and Alison Trathen fanned nine batters for NPS. Emma Showers, Kara Ashley, R. Showers. and Jayden Smithers each produced two hits. Emma Smithers also played as a stalwart at catcher.

DeFelsko’s over Source Capital: Lynee Lesperance and Julia L’Orange pitched the win with Lesperance keying the defense and offense. Kylie Wood, Alexa McKee and Brooke Meashaw played well for Source Capital.
