POTSDAM — In honor of D-Day the Potsdam Public Museum has an exhibit of WWII uniforms and artifacts. Included in the display are U.S. uniforms, maps, posters, booklets and some items brought back from Germany that include a Nazi uniform and banner. The banner measures 12 x 5 feet.
We also have a story on our museum home page regarding Louis White, a long time Potsdam resident, who took part in the Normandy invasion. It can be viewed at: www.potsdampublicmuseum.org/index.php.
The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 to 4 PM, and is located at 2 Park Street, Civic Center, Potsdam, NY. Call (315) 265-6910 for more information.
