POTSDAM - As part of its ongoing support, the Potsdam Hospital Guild recently awarded $2,000 to three current Canton-Potsdam Hospital employees who are working to further their education.
Courtney Carista, a unit assistant in the hospital’s Chemical Dependency Rehabilitation Unit, is working on her bachelor’s degree in healthcare management.
Karissa Castanier, a patient representative working in Dr. Kris VanWagner’s ophthalmology practice, is working toward being a certified coder.
Rheannon Harvey, a certified nurse aide on the hospital’s third floor medical-surgical unit, is studying to become a registered nurse.
The three recipients were selected by the Potsdam Hospital Guild’s Continuing Education Awards/Scholarship Committee from among a number of employee applicants.
These awards bring the Potsdam Guild’s total contribution for 2014 to $53,000.
