Funeral services for David M. Bevins, age 52 of Linden Street in Ogdensburg will be held on Friday July 18, 2014 at 11:00am at Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ogdensburg.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday (July 17, 2014) from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mr. Bevins passed away on Sunday (July 13, 2014) at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Vermont surrounded by his loving family.

Surviving is his wife Mary; a son Scott Bevins of Ogdensburg; a daughter Linda Bevins & her companion Justin Dewey of Ogdensburg; a brother Robert Bevins of TN; his mother Mary Bevins of Canton; mother-in-law Linda Measheaw of Ogdensburg; three sisters Mary Rose & Ann Bevins addresses unknown and Marie Dailey & her husband Timothy of Schenectady; three grandchildren Jaelyn & Kaylee Dewey and Natalie Bevins; brother & sister-in-laws Bernie & Jeanine Measheaw of Lisbon, Jeff & Stella Measheaw of Massena, Lynn Measheaw & her companion George Brooks of Richville, Helen & Robert Middlemiss of Ogdensburg, Jay Measheaw & his companion Debbie Cutway of Ogdensburg, Chris & Amy Measheaw of Lisbon, Adam & Nancy Measheaw of Ogdensburg along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

His father Edward Bevins, father-in-law Bernie Measheaw, brother Edward Bevins, brother-in-law Gary Measheaw, two nephews Jenson Measheaw & Montana Measheaw , and a great-nephew Landon Measheaw, predeceased him.

David was born on April 24, 1962 in Canton, NY a son of Edward & Mary (Nickerson) Bevins. He graduated from Hermon High School and entered the US Army in 1982 until 1984 when he received his honorable discharge. During his career he worked as a laborer until he became disabled.
